Beanies, Beanies, Beanies....LOVE THEM!!

One of my favorite things to do is to CREATE!!
One thing that I have learned to do during the last year is crochet!
I love it!  I can take it with me and create whatever my little heart desires!
The best thing I love to make are BEANIES, that's right!
Here are some of my favorites that I have made!
If you would like one, just email me and I'll customize it to you!!

Get Ready, Get Set, BLAST OFF!!!!

It's been a long time coming...I have slacked quite a bit on posting on my blog.  But thanks to summer time, I have a lot to post about so you might see more of me in a big chunk!! The kids are always looking for something new and exciting to do, and well I am cheap on that aspect!  I love to make things and save some money...honey!!  So, our thrill this week was JET PACKS!! Yes...jet packs!  I absolutely LOVE Pinterest and when I saw these, I had to make them for my boys!  I followed her directions to the T - and here's pictures of what I did!  ENJOY!!

Now here are the pictures of what I did to make these FANTASTIC jet packs!!

The first thing I did was to paint the coke bottles with the Krylon Fusion paint, let it dry.  This took like 5 minutes.  You need this to make the silver paint stick.  Then pain the bottles with the silver spray, I did 2 coats.

While the bottles were drying with silver paint, I cut out cardboard to make the backs for the bottles to stick to.  Then I glued the bottles to the cardboard.  By the way, DON'T USE A HOT GLUE GUN!  I did this and it started to melt the bottle!  I used some Gorilla Glue, but you could use super glue or other type of strong adhesive.  Then I added the straps using silver duck tape and then put streamers on the bottom.  What I found that helped hold the streamers in was to use the cap that came with the bottle and screw the cap back on after putting the streamers in the bottle.  So here you go...something fun for the kiddos and it sure makes for some SUPER FUN that will last for hours!!!

Bubble Party!!!

It's Spring Break!!  Since I teach school I am able to enjoy it too!!  Having fun doesn't always have to cost a fortune...so with a little time on pinterest I found a cheap way to create some "Bubble Juice" for the boys!!  We had so much fun.  They each had their own cups and bubble wands!  I'll post ingredients and directions at the bottom of this post!

As you can see, we had a blast!!! This was a simple yet REALLY fun thing to do!  Couldn't have asked for a prettier day to have some outdoor fun!  So for under $10 my boys were able to have a fun filled day with some "Bubble Juice"!!!

Here is what I used:
-Beverage Dispenser: Dollar Store $4
-Bubble Wands - Dollar Store $3
-Cups for bubble juice - FREE (Saved yogurt cups)
-5 cups of water
-1 cup light corn syrup
-1 cup Dawn dish soap
*Mix water and light corn syrup in bowl and microwave for 3 minutes, mix together.  Then add Dawn dish soap.  Pour into beverage dispenser, and ENJOY!!!
